Green Solutions for Future Cities: Low carbon logistics conference

Green Policy Institute arranged public conference “Green Solutions for Future Cities: Low carbon logistics”. Almost 50 participants were informed about the project and its deliverables.

Assoc. prof. Stanislaw Iwan from Maritime University of Szczecin spoke about the challenge of today – sustainable urban logistics. Project manager Torun Israelsson (Energy Agency of Southeast Sweden) introduced the audience with  the main concept of the Low Carbon Logistics project. Success story of Bad Doberan was presented by Clemens Weiss, Research GmbH Wismar, Competence Centre for Rural Mobility. Participants of the event were informed about the pilot projects in Stargard (Poland), Rietavas (Lithuania) and Neringa (Lithuania). Clara Burzlaff (University of Greifswald) spread out the message about the Expert Team and its services. 

Representatives from stakeholder organizations – Klappir Lithuania and Wolt were invited to present the good practice of their businesses.

Klaippir Lithuania is providing environmental management services for private and public companies. The field of consultation – smart environmental solutions.

Wolt is a fast growing company which represents environmentally friendly business of cargo delivery.
