Olofströms Näringsliv AB

ONAB (the municipality) is the implementing partner in this project. The project will be performed in close cooperation with Energikontor Sydost sho will support this partner in all working steps. The main role of ONAB is to communicate and coordinate the contacts with other regional and local actors in the municipality of Olofström.There are a lot of trucks going to and fro Olofström each day. Because of the business structure in the municipality there are a lot of fright transportation in the municipality and its surroundings. ONAB has identified the large companies’ transports as one reason to the flow of goods in the municipality and their role in this project is to coordinate the companies in the municipality to create opportunities for collaboration in the area of local/regional freight transportation (last-mile or short- distance transports). The industries in the municipality will soon face an increase in production volumes and ONAB wants to address the importance of collaboration regarding transports to avoid sub optimizations (leading to unnecessary transports) within the geographical boarders of Olofström municipality. The goal will be to find positive effects from consolidation/co-packing and thereby reduce CO2 emissions in the municipality and enhance the competitiveness among regional companies. To be able to do this in an efficient and innovative manner the exchange of experience with South Baltic partners would be crucial. The importance of dissemination will also be considered and the findings and experiences in the municipality of Olofström will be shared as well as they will assimilate the project learnings.
